When I opened the package of Paper Dolls I received and spread them out I was overwhelmed with the variety of people in so many different sizes. Within seconds of sorting through the pieces, I'd assembled an interesting crowd and was literally grinning from ear to ear.

That moment is what inspired me to feature several of the characters inside a Large Vignette Tray with the hope that others might experience that same feeling.

I used a vintage postcard surrounded by a Mini Framed Panel (new) and assembled my entourage to give the impression of perspective i.e., small subjects behind larger ones, etc.

Just look at this wonderful cast of characters! The baby is sitting on a piece of cork from a wine bottle. The clothing was tinted with Distress markers.

The text was made with Typography which are dimensional plastic letters that can be altered with paint or ink. The background papers are a mix of cut pieces from the Dapper and Memoranda (new) paper stash. The tray edges were finished with Design Tape.

I painted a Mini Hardware pull (to use for hanging the tray on a wall) and added a painted Word Band and Number Token which helps to balance my off-center composition.
