Using a Vignette Box inside a Small Vignette Tray, this project was a snap to complete with just a few simple elements. Mom has already made claim to it which speaks to its softer, slightly shabby chic vibe which she finds so appealing.

I treated the wood with a white wash of paint then lightly sanded it (what's known as a "pickled finish").

I added some foam core in the center box to change the depth, covered it with paper then stacked pieces from the Botanical Layers collection. Just below the box is a Quote Chip.

Bouquet blooms (so easy to tint) and Heirloom Roses were assembled around some vintage thread spools, the "No. 24" is a Clippings sticker, the background paper is from Memoranda and I used Ranger's Liquid Pearls around the box and butterfly edges.

A porcelain Curio Knob made the perfect topper and using Design Tapes was such an easy and pretty way to finish the box edges.
